9 Days Golden Triangle Tour With Khajuraho

Day 1: Delhi arrival

Your tour plan begins with a visit to the iconic Red Fort, a magnificent Mughal-era fort which was once the residence of the Mughal emperors. After exploring the fort, you can take a stroll through the bustling Chandni Chowk market, where you can sample some of the delicious local cuisine. After that, you’ll be visiting the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and take in its stunning architecture. From there, you will take a rickshaw ride to the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its architectural beauty.

Finally, you will end your tour of Delhi with a visit to the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I.

Day 2: Delhi sightseeing

Your Delhi sightseeing plan includes visiting some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. You will  start your journey by visiting the Red Fort, a 17th century fort built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. After that, you will head to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. 

From there, you will explore the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk. After a day of sightseeing, you will end your trip with a visit to the Qutub Minar, a 73-meter tall tower built in 1193. This will be a great way to experience the history and culture of Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi/Jaipur ( 240 km - 3-4 hrs )

Your plan for the journey from Delhi to Jaipur is to leave early in the morning and take a direct bus from Delhi to Jaipur. The journey will take around 5 hours and the bus will take you directly to the Jaipur bus station. Once you arrive in Jaipur, you can plan to take a taxi to your hotel. From there, you will explore the city and take in the sights and sounds of the vibrant city.

You can plan to visit some of the famous monuments, such as the Hawa Mahal and the City Palace, as well as the bustling markets. You will also take some time to experience the local cuisine and culture.

Day 4: Jaipur sightseeing

Jaipur is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in India. The city is home to many famous landmarks and attractions, making it a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Some of the most popular Jaipur sightseeing spots include the City Palace, the Amber Fort, the Hawa Mahal, and the Jantar Mantar. 

Jaipur is also home to a number of museums and art galleries, making it a perfect destination for those interested in culture and history. With so much to see and do, Jaipur is a city that is sure to delight and enchant visitors of all ages.

Day 5: Jaipur/Agra ( 240 km - 4 hrs )

Your plan for the journey from Jaipur to Agra is to take a train from Jaipur to Agra. The train journey will take around four hours and will be a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Once you arrive in Agra, you can plan to explore the city and visit some of the famous monuments, such as the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. 

You will also take some time to explore the local markets and sample some of the delicious local cuisine. After a  day of sightseeing and exploring, you will take a train  to your next destination.

Day 6: Agra sightseeing

Agra is an amazing city with a rich history and plenty of sights to explore. A great sightseeing plan for Agra would include a visit to the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, and the Fatehpur Sikri. The Taj Mahal is a stunning white marble mausoleum that was built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. 

The Agra Fort is a massive fortification that was built in the 16th century by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to a variety of palaces, mosques, and other structures. Finally, Fatehpur Sikri is an ancient city that was built in the 16th century by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is home to a number of impressive monuments and buildings, such as the Jama Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti, and the Buland Darwaza.

Day 7: Agra/Khajuraho ( 410 km - 9 hrs )

Your plan for your journey from Agra to Khajuraho is to take a train from Agra to Jhansi, then switch to a bus to reach Khajuraho. The train journey will take around 4 hours and the bus journey will take around 7 hours. You can plan to leave Agra early in the morning so that you can reach Khajuraho by the evening. 

You will also make sure to carry enough snacks and water for the journey. Additionally, you will carry a map to ensure that you don’t get lost on the way. This will be a great opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside of India.

Day 8: Khajuraho/Orchha ( 710 km - 3 hrs )

Your sightseeing plan for Khajuraho includes a visit to the Western Group of Temples, Eastern Group of Temples, and the Southern Group of Temples. The Western Group of Temples is the most popular and consists of the Kandariya Mahadev Temple, the Chaunsath Yogini Temple, and the Chitragupta Temple.

The Eastern Group of Temples is smaller, but still impressive and consists of the Parsvanath Temple, the Ghantai Temple, the Adinath Temple, and the Brahma Temple. The Southern Group of Temples is the least visited, but still worth a visit and consists of the Duladeo Temple, the Chaturbhuj Temple, and the Javari Temple. Additionally, your plan to visit the Khajuraho Dance Festival, which is held annually, and take a tour of the nearby Raneh Falls. 

Day 9: Orchha/Jhansi/Delhi depart

Orchha is a small town located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning architecture. A trip to Orchha is a great way to explore the historical and cultural monuments of the town. The best way to explore Orchha is to start with a sightseeing tour of the town. The tour will take you to the various monuments and temples of the town, such as the Raja Ram Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, and the Jahangir Mahal.

You can also visit the Orchha Fort, which is one of the most important monuments of the town. After exploring the town, you can take a day trip to Jhansi, which is located about 80 km away from Orchha. Jhansi is a historical city and is home to many monuments, such as the Jhansi Fort, Rani Mahal, and the Government Museum.

From there you can go back to Delhi and take a flight back to your home cherishing the wonderful memories of your adventure.
