Our representative would receive you from the assigned airport and assist you to your pre-booked hotel. We advise you to take some rest after checking into the hotel, so that you feel rejuvenated for the first day of your golden triangle tour which takes you to historical monuments like Red Fort, also popularly known as Lal Qila which is a massive red sandstone fort that was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1638. Red Fort is the fixed venue from where the Prime Minister addresses a speech to the patrons on Independence Day every year.
Next, we visit one of the largest mosques in the city, the very popular Jama Masjid which stands hardly 500 meters away from the Red Fort and is a beautiful representation of Ismalic architectural style. On our way back, we will come across some grand government buildings dating back to the time when the Britishers ruled over India. We will also spot the President’s and Parliament House along with the stupefying India Gate after which we will depart for the hotel and relax to push off for an early morning drive to Agra.
||Day 02: Delhi To Agra +City Tour Of Agra ||
As scheduled in our travel deal, we leave early morning to pay a visit to the beautiful Taj. Coined under the list of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal was built in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Termed as the ultimate token of love, this white marble mausoleum is undoubtedly the most alluring site that you just can’t afford to miss.
After spending some good two to three hours, we then proceed to another magnificent UNESCO world heritage site, namely, Agra Fort, which resides on the right bank of the river Yamuna. Exhibiting some of the most beautiful and intricate Mughal designs and art, this monument unfolds a story in every palace that it engulfs, be it the Sheesh Mahal, Anguri Bagh, Khas mahal or the famous Diwan-i-Khas (A hall that was used to welcome Kings).
Later, after having a filling, delectable lunch which is inclusive in the tour package, we will visit a Marble emporium where you’ll be witnessing master craftsmen carving Marble Inlay products right in front of you (the same workmanship that adorns the Taj). Established in 1862, this store is one of the oldest businesses in the entire Northern India. Over here, you can identify a beautiful collection of antiques and other artefacts which were presented to the family by the Mughals; these artefacts are now the most valuable possession for the proprietors. Feel comfortable to meet the owners and gain wisdom about their ancestors who were once the legal advisors and jewellers in the bygone Mughal courts. You can also buy mementos and other intricate valuables from here to present to your friends and family.
The tour package then makes you travel across the city to visit another Mughal mausoleum, namely Itmad-Ud-Daulah, nicknamed Baby Taj which was built by the mughal empress Nur Jahan for her parents. This miniature version of Taj Mahal is the first example of a Mughal tomb that used stone inlay to adorn its exteriors. Post that, we return to the hotel where you can have your dinner and prepare yourself for the third day of the India golden triangle tour.
